Main Idea:

God protects His church through qualified shepherds who are anchored to Scripture.

A Shepherd must:

1. Hold Firm to the Trustworthy Word

• Cling to what has been taught

• Steady under pressure

2. Teach Sound Doctrine

• Healthy truth that strengthens the church

• Feed the flock with the Word

3. Rebuke Error

• Correct what contradicts the gospel

• Protect the flock from harm
