Charokee Molina is a man who loves Jesus, cherishes his bride, and leads his family with humility and conviction. His deepest desire is to see the gospel saturate every area of his life and to shepherd others to do the same.
He has been married to his best friend Melany for 21 years, and together they are raising four energetic, joy-filled children: Halle, Malachi, Noah, and Hannah. Whether they are soaking in the South Texas sun, camping, or catching waves, Team Molina loves spending time together.
Before stepping into pastoral ministry, Charokee served faithfully in the United States Army for sixteen years. While deployed in Afghanistan, he sustained a severe traumatic brain injury that ultimately led to his medical retirement. What could have been the end of this story became the beginning of a beautiful new one. Through a miraculous recovery, the Lord not only restored his health but also revealed a clear and compelling call to ministry.
Charokee often points to the truth of 2 Corinthians 12:9 as his testimony in suffering and strength: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
After returning to Corpus Christi, Charokee served the Texas military community as a CREDO Pastoral Care Provider at NAS Corpus Christi. It was during this time that God began to burden his heart for a local church committed to reaching the transient and often overlooked community of South Texas with the unchanging truth of the gospel.
In obedience to that call, Charokee partnered with the North American Mission Board, and by God's grace, planted Coastal Community Church in 2019. Since its beginning, Coastal has been a church devoted to Christ-centered teaching, intentional discipleship, and missional driven living.
Charokee holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and a Master of Arts from Webster University. He is currently completing his Master of Divinity at Liberty Theological Seminary. He remains a life-long student of God's Word and a faithful shepherd of His people.
